Liver Functions

The liver which may be the largest internal organ and second largest organ in the human body weighs 1.5 kg (approx.) that features a variety of functions (Rad, 2020). The different functions from the liver are discussed below.

Function linked to blood and circulation: throughout the foetal condition, it plays a part in RBC formation while inside the adult, it is important in RBC destruction. Further, it manufactured prothrombin, fibrinogen, and heparin which can be essential for clotting (Rad, 2020). Furthermore

The Caudate lobe is located around the upper portion on the Liver’s visceral surface between inferior vena cava and fossa which is produced through the presence of ligamentum venosum.
